All pet portraits are custom and hand-painted with acrylic paint or watercolors. Most of my portfolio includes work of dogs and cats; however, I am able to paint any type of pet you’d like!
Production time varies and can be scheduled based on my availability. You can contact me through my Contact page. Once I receive you request, I will prepare 1-3 options with exact pricing to discuss with you before beginning.
To request your custom Bark Art, please send me the following details:
PHOTOS: 1 – 6 high quality photos. Indicate which photo you would like painted. I prefer to paint directly from a photo; though, if there are potentially limited photo choices, I may be able to use a few photos for reference to create the portrait.
PET DETAILS: Name, breed, personality description, And any special features or traits.
WHO: Is this painting for you or a gift* for someone else? Would you like artwork previews throughout the painting process?
*If the painting is a gift, there will not be any photos or videos posted until after the person receives the gift from you.
SUBJECT: Face, head and shoulders or full body.
BACKGROUND: Solid, abstract, custom, or scenic.
COLORS: List any favorite colors, themes or indicate any of my past paintings that you like.
PORTRAIT SIZE: Do you have dimensions or a canvas type in mind yet? To help decide on the size, consider where the painting will be displayed. It may be helpful for you to provide a picture of the space on the wall or indicate if you think it will be on the mantel, etc. Standard and non-standard sizes are available. Listed here is a range of standard options:
- Small: 5×7, 6×6, 8×8, 8×10, 10×10, 9×12 – $100+
- Medium: 12×12, 11×14, 12×16, 16×20 – $250+
- Large: 20×20, 18×24, 20×24, 24×36 – $400+
In addition to portrait size, there may be several options for painting surface (canvas, framed & matted paper, canvas board, wood, etc.). If you are unsure, I will help with this!
PRINTS: I can make prints, magnets and more of the original painting! If you need a print for another family member, your office or every room in the house, I’ve got you covered! I will make prints of any portrait I have done before too.
DATE: If this is a gift for someone, please provide a desired date of completion. It is never too early for holiday orders!
ADDITIONAL: Gift wrapping, shipping and delivery are available upon request.
